NEW Leicester star Ryan Douglas produced an impressive display to finish eighth in the latest Australian Championship round.
Flyin’ Ryan scored 10 points in the heats to qualify for the B final, needing a win to get a shot at the second round title in Mildura last night.
However he was outgunned by Poole pair Brady Kurtz and Jack Holder with former Aussie title winner Sam Masters third.
Douglas is now on a very respectable 16 points after two rounds in a tough field, the third event is Undera on Monday.
A Final: C Holder, Tungate, Fricke, Kurtz.
B Final: B Kurtz, J Holder, Masters, Douglas.
